The anticipation is building as the Oregon International Auto Show (OIAS) puts the finishing touches on what is sure to be the automotive party of the year. Enthusiasts, car shoppers, families, really anyone that gets excited at the sight of new, gleaming cars, trucks and SUVs should make their way to the Oregon Convention Center February 19-22 to a show that not only celebrates the automobile but is also lifestyle destination.

“The traditional ‘cars on carpet’ auto show has evolved for the better,” said Greg Remensperger, OIAS executive director. “Today, it’s about how the automobile fits into the consumer lifestyle, whether it’s outdoors, urban or environmentally conscious, and we certainly have all of those here in Oregon. The OIAS strives to offer the best from the world’s automakers that fit with those varied lifestyles.”

The new vehicles will be the stars of the show and attendees can view hundreds of the latest from global manufacturers. And the tradition of the ever-popular Ride & Drive continues, but with an electric twist. This year, the OIAS presents an all-EV line up of passenger cars, crossovers and SUVs for showgoers to drive and evaluate with the help of product specialists. Ride & Drives will be provided by Toyota, Polestar and Portland General Electric, which will feature EVs from Chevrolet, Ford Motor Co., Hyundai, Kia and Rivian. The Ride & Drive schedule can be found at oregonautoshow.com/ride.

New exhibits at this year’s auto show include:

Overlanding
The Overlanding exhibit will feature the brawny vehicles that one would expect to find on the trails in Oregon’s back country. To complement the vehicles, exhibitors will also feature outdoor equipment and vehicle accessories aimed at those who are more comfortable in the woods than the office.

Performance
Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping like the lines of a sleek racing or performance vehicle. In this new exhibit, visitors will learn about the sophisticated technologies that keep these racing machines at the top of their category.

Work and Play
It’s well known that Oregonians work hard and play hard. This exhibit is a celebration of that lifestyle, and features vehicles that are at home either hauling equipment or navigating a two-track in the backwoods with ORVs in tow.

The Ultimate Garage, presented by OnPoint Community Credit Union
The garage is no longer just a place to park or store stuff—it’s a workshop, a retreat and a gathering spot for gearhead friends. This exhibit shows how to unlock the full potential of the modern-day garage, transforming it into a true sanctuary, all while enjoying an adult beverage from 503 Distilling. The Ultimate Garage will be integrated into the show’s ever-popular Garage feature, showcasing the latest vehicle accessories, tools and ideas to elevate any garage space. Other new exhibits featured at the show this year include a concours d’elegance-style area and classic muscle cars display.
