Race a Pinewood Derby Car and Win a Prize!

Join the Pinewood Derby tradition started by Cub Scouts! The first Pinewood Derby race was held in Southern California in 1953 when Cubmaster Donald Murphy wanted to create a wholesome activity promoting craftsmanship and good sportsmanship. We’re continuing that tradition this year at the Oregon International Auto & Motorcycle Show. Our partners at EC Electric are hosting Pinewood Derby races on a 35-foot track every day starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 5:00 PM. Race coordinators will announce the competition. EC Electric will provide cars for you to race. The fastest car of the day will win an award from EC Electric. You must be registered to be a part of the races! Sign up here.

Remember, you don’t stop riding when you get old; you get old when you stop riding.” Bigger and better, the Motorcycle Pavilion will be located upstairs in the Portland
